LEGO Education, formerly known as Dacta, deals with all things that can be used with educational facilities, such as DUPLO and TECHNIC. This special product line was exclusively developed for usage in kindergarten and schools so the sets typically contain a large amount of pieces - for playing (and learning) together in groups. Dacta sets often contain many elements, a lot from older LEGO. The LEGO Education WeDo curriculum has twelve exciting project activities. It contains all of the pieces required to perform the activities–including a motor, gears, pulleys, electronic sensors, a printed teacher’s guide, and LEGO Education WeDo software.

The software provides easy-to-use, drag-and-drop programming and is powered by LabVIEW. It is icon-based and provides an intuitive programming environment suitable for children from 7 years and up.
The activity pack includes 12 activities and provides up to 24 hours of instruction and project-based learning. Animations introduce the tasks that students must solve. Activities integrate into the WeDo Software and are divided into 4 themes: Amazing Mechanisms, Wild Animals, Play Soccer and Adventure Stories.
